You may not have attended any security conferences such as Blackhat or not, that said, you may have an idea what constitutes a good talk. For me it comes down to usability. Can I come away from the conference with something to use in my everyday workplace. Cutting edge talks are great, but, are they useful to me. Generally most talks are not. I would rather hear a talk on how to extract info from server event logs then on some marginal stuff as Symbian malware. Bleh. What do you guys think? Any thoughts, either against me, or for me?
