Windows Hello is a password alternative that gives you an easy but more secure way to sign onto your Windows devices. The technology allows you to use your face, fingerprint, or a companion device to sign in to your devices rather than entering a set password that you have to remember or keep track of. In the case of Microsoft’s new keyboard, the fingerprint sensor is what utilizes Windows Hello technology.
About the new Microsoft Modern Keyboard and Mouse
With the new Microsoft Modern Keyboard, you get access to that password alternative through the fingerprint ID feature. Instead of having to enter a written password every time you want to gain access to your device, you simply touch your finger to a set button on the keyboard. It will then read your fingerprint and recognize you as the owner so that you can gain access to your Windows 10 device.
The keyboard also features a sleek design and aluminum top case. And you can use it either wired or wireless depending on your personal preference. It features both Bluetooth 4.0 and hardwire connections for that reason.
In addition, the Microsoft Modern Mouse, another new product that was just announced, is sold separately. But it’s made to complement the Microsoft Modern Keyboard with its sleek and ergonomic design.
